I was stunned when I first saw Rachel's photos of my band after a gig at the DNA lounge in SF. The venue had hired her and I wasn't expecting to have photos taken during the show that night. Once I saw the photos I was in awe at how she saw, and captured, the performance. I've never felt more confident and connected to images representing something I care about so dearly.
She was so humble and made my band realize we can actually enjoy photos taken of us just being us! I normally hate getting my picture taken away from playing instruments (or at all) and am self conscious about my body. Rachel made me feel supported, comfortable, and just wanted to have a good time shooting me being myself.
